Korab Kusari

I photograph people the way they actually sit in a room — not the way a brief tells them to.

Based in Gjakovë, I've spent the last several years working across editorial portraiture, weddings, and long-form documentary projects around Kosovo. Most of what you see here started as an assignment; the rest is work I made because I couldn't stop thinking about it.

I shoot on both digital and film, and I still develop black-and-white negatives by hand — it's the only part of the process I'm precious about.
